Lawmaker Explains BTS Bloc Spreads Awareness For ARMYs

LAWMAKER EXPLAINS BTS BLOC – Recently, Former House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano launched a new bloc in Congress.

However, the “BTS Sa Kongreso” didn’t pan out the way Cayetano did. Although it made headlines, it was primarily due to negative reasons.

Most call the move cringe, try-hard, and downright detached. Furthermore, loyal fans of BTS, the ARMY, wasn’t fond of the way Cayetano, of all people, used BTS’s name.

For years, people have been riding on BTS’s name for a quick shot at social media attention. Sadly, these stints under the spotlight are rather short-lived.

As such, Camarines Sur 2nd District Luis Raymund “LRay” Villafuerte Jr. explained why the bloc was created before any more damage could be done.

During an interview with ABS-CBN, he said the bloc was created to spread “awareness” for fans of BTS. In that regard, he mentioned how the bloc became a “success”.

We don’t want to anger anyone, whether the ARMY or anyone, but the fact that it created awareness. Now a lot of BTS fans are now attuned to what we want to do, I think in that sense, it’s a success already.”

Furthermore, he said that the bloc even helped BTS gain new fans. “In fact, a lot of non-millennials, 40 and above, some of them don’t even know BTS but after we were called BTS, suddenly it created more awareness for BTS“.
