Viva Films Director & Other Staff Reportedly Contracted COVID-19 During Lock-In Taping
VIVA FILMS DIRECTOR – A filmmaker of Viva Films and his staff reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 during a lock-in taping.
The COVID-19 pandemic brought a lot of changes in the Philippines. The people now have to wear a mask and practice social distancing when going outdoors. Also, gatherings are prohibited.
Due to the threats of the disease, classes now are under a blended learning scheme. It is aside from the fact that the school year was not able to start in June, the usual start of the school calendar.
Many businesses closed amid the COVID-19 crisis while others laid off workers. A lot of companies were not able to withstand the impacts of the pandemic – incurring only expenses with no income for several months.
Even the showbiz celebrities who have the busiest schedules stayed in their houses for several weeks. Currently, most tapings are done lock-in as the pandemic is still present.

Recently, a report about a lock-in taping in Tagaytay, Bulacan crossed the surface. Pep writer Noel Ferrer stated the news that reached him – a Viva Films director and his staff tested positive for COVID-19 during the lock-in taping.
Based on the article, the taping was allegedly down to its last two days when a swab test was done as they transferred a location. The Viva Films director that tested positive for COVID-19 was reportedly replaced so the project would be finished.
Reportedly, the assistant director and several other staff also tested positive for the disease. Viva Films has yet to comment on the matter.
