Roque Slams Dr Leachon Questioning Gov’t Decisions On Vaccines
ROQUE SLAMS LEACHON – Recently, Former Inter-Agency Task Force on COVID-19 adviser, Dr. Anthony Leachon critizied the government on its COVID-19 vaccine priorities.
Leachon questioned why the government wanted to prioritize procuring vaccines from firms that have not released enough data on its efficiency and safety. However, instead of addressing the concerns, Roque instead slammed Leachon’s work ethic.
According to an article from Inquirer, the Presidential Spokesperson said:
Na-edit lang po sa mga talk to the people pero ang daming beses na po kayong namura ng Presidente. Kasi ang sabi niya, kung anu-ano sinasabi mo iyon pala nagnanais ka lang ng posisyon sa gobyerno
Furthermore, vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. said Leachon was hard to work with. In fact, he emphasized that he had a world of his own.
Additionally, Roque stated that President Rodrigo Duterte wasn’t fond of Leachon’s criticism. As per the article, Roque added that the next time Duterte would curse Leachon out, he’d make sure that the Filipino people would see it.
