Daughter of Anthony Taberna Fighting Against Leukemia

ANTHONY TABERNA – The news anchor recalled the heartbreaking moment when the head of her eldest daughter, Zoey, was shaved for chemotherapy.

In the Philippines, one of the most popular broadcast journalist and radio commentator is Anthony Taberna. Also called as “Tunying”, he is under the ABS-CBN Network.

Tunying’s one of the hosts of ABS-CBN’s Umagang Kay Ganda and the XXX: Exklusibong, Explosibong, Expose. The 45-year-old neews anchor is undeniably one of the finest in the field.

Behind the camera, Anthony is a loving husband to his wife, Rossel, and father to their two daughters – Azasia Zoey and Helga Antoinette. Last year, an unexpected turn in life tested their faith.

Anthony Taberna’s eldest daughter, Zoey, was diagnosed with leukemia. It all started with very painful legs that prompted them to rush to the hospital.

They initially thought that Zoey’s condition is something related to the bones but she was diagnosed with leukemia – which greatly broke the heart of her parents. She was just 11 years old then when the painful journey unfolded.

Now, it’s more than a year since Anthony and his family went through one of the darkest times in their lives. Zoey is getting better.

The glimpse of the past still affects Anthony Taberna. He recently took to social media a photo of his daughter when she was shaved for chemo.

According to Tunying, when he found out that his wife and daughter are off to the hospital for Zoey to be shaved, he also went to the hospital thinking he’s strong enough.

Anthony Taberna revealed that there was a video when Zoey was shaved and he cannot stop his tears from falling whenever he sees it. It caused insecurity on his eldest daughter but she is strong enough to fight. Here’s his Instagram post:
