Apple To Host ‘Hi, Speed’ Online Launch Event

Apple to host “Hi, Speed” online launch event

Apple had officially announced its highly-anticipated “Hi, Speed” online launch event for October 14, 2020, at 1:00 a.m. (PH time).

Much like Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) and “Time Flies” event, the said event would be completely virtual and streamed directly from Apple Park.

It was last June 22 (US time) when the company launched software updates across Apple products — iOS 14 for iPhones, iPadOS 14 for iPads, watchOS 7 for Apple Watch, tvOS 14 for Apple TV, and macOS Big Sur for Macs.

On September 15, Apple held “Time flies” virtual event in order to announce its latest Apple Watch Series 6 and Apple Watch SE hardware, alongside Apple Fitness+, a new iPad Air and the 8th generation iPad, and the Apple One services bundle. However, Apple didn’t launch its iPhone 12 during the said event.

The “Hi, Speed” tagline was a clear hint at Apple’s iPhone 12 and its expected A14 processor and 5G connectivity.

According to a report on 9to5Mac, the circular rings resembled the Siri interface amid the rumors of a smaller HomePod. However, the invite didn’t provide any other hints at what the company could announce at the virtual launch event.

Apple’s “Hi, Speed” event will be live-streamed across Apple’s website, on Apple TV app, and on YouTube.
