The Department of Health (DOH) had recorded 23,074 newly-reported coronavirus recoveries in the Philippines as of 4:00 p.m. today, September 6, 2020.
This, as the Department of Health gave an update on the total number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines.
According to its COVID-19 Case Bulletin #176 dated September 6, 2020, the Department of Health reported 2,839 newly-reported COVID-19 cases, which brought the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease to 237,365.
In addition, the Department of Health stated that the newly-confirmed cases on Sunday were reported based on the total tests done by 96 out of 115 current operational laboratories. Moreover, 2,302 out of 2,839 newly-reported cases occurred within the recent 14 days — from August 24 to September 6.
The Department of Health also reported 48,803 total active cases as stated in its COVID-19 Case Bulletin #176 dated September 6, 2020.
Moreover, the Department of Health identified the top five areas with the highest number of new coronavirus cases as of September 6 only: Metro Manila with 1,170 new cases, Negros Occidental with 195 new cases, Laguna with 190 new cases, Cavite with 182 new cases, and Rizal with 154 new cases.
Aside from the number of confirmed cases, the Department of Health had recorded 23,074 newly-reported recoveries and 85 newly-reported fatalities. This brought the total number of recoveries to 184,687 and total coronavirus deaths to 3,875.
