Do the ABS-CBN Colleagues of Pokwang Support Her Network Transfer?
POKWANG – The former Kapamilya comedienne revealed the real reaction of her colleagues in ABS-CBN regarding her network transfer.
One of the most popular comediennes in the Philippine entertainment industry is Pokwang. She’s been under the ABS-CBN Network for 15 years.
She was a part of Krystala in 2004-2005; Aalog-alog and Crazy For You in 2006; Wowowee in 2007 until 2010; Pilipinas Win na Win in 2010; and Happy Yippe Yehey in 2011-2012 among others.

Last June 2020, many were surprised when the comedienne appeared in GMA-7 noontime variety show Eat Bulaga‘s segment “Bawal Judgmental”. A month after it, the House Franchise Committee junked ABS-CBN’s bid for a new franchise.
Pokwang is now under Antonio P. Tuviera’s APT Entertainment which is a co-producer of Eat Bulaga. Two of her shows is aired in TV5.
Undeniably, many people were surprised by the decision of Pokwang. Meanwhile, speaking to Pep, the comedienne assured that her ABS-CBN colleagues knew about it and they support her decision being a mother who can’t lose her job.
According to the comedienne, she was already planning to make the move last 2019 but the Kapamilya network did not allow her. Based on the report, her colleagues in Banana Sundae were among those who were the first to know about her plan.
“At alam naman nila kung bakit di ako puwede mawalan ng work. Same din sa mga kasama ko na mga may anak din, suportado nila desisyon ko at nauunawaan nila,” she said.
