Liza Diño Encounters COVID-19 Patients During Search for ATM
LIZA DIÑO – The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) chairperson narrated her encounter with COVID-19 patients while she’s looking for an ATM.
Undeniably, most hospitals in the Philippines now most especially the ones in Luzon are dealing with COVID-19 cases. The pandemic has greatly hit the country with more than 115,000 recorded cases now.
According to the Department of Health (DOH), out of the said total cases, 2,123 patients died while the recoveries is at 66,270 now. The health department is recording at least 3,000 cases daily in the past few days.
To curb the spread of the disease, everyone is advised to wear a mask, frequently wash your hands, and practice social distancing. The World Health Organization (WHO) said that the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic may be a long-term battle.
Recently, FDCP chairperson Liza Diño encountered two (2) COVID-19 patients while she was looking for an ATM at the National Kidney Transplant Institute (NKTI).
Liza came to NKTI to visit actor John Regala. He was at the makeshift emergency room of NKTI.
According to the FDCP chairperson, she cannot find the ATM and ended up in an area where there are emergency tents set. Beside it, she saw two (2) men sitting on a bench.
Liza Diño was asked if what she was looking for so she told them she’s searching for an ATM. The men responded that it’s behind them. Before the FDCP chairperson moved to pass by, they informed her that they’re COVID-19 patients.
In her Instagram post, the FDCP chairperson stressed the honesty of the men she encountered. She was more than two (2) meters away from them and she did not push through with going to the ATM.
Also, Liza stated that she was wearing an N95 mask then and the area is well-ventilated. She believes there’s nothing she must worry about.
