Instagram Adds Reels On Its Platform As A ‘Direct Challenge’ To TikTok

Instagram added Reels on its platform as a “direct challenge” to TikTok.

INSTAGRAM REELS – Instagram recently added a new short-form video feature into its platform in a direct challenge to Chinese video-sharing app TikTok.

With Reels, Instagram said that the platform lets its users to record videos of up to 15 seconds and to provide necessary tools for editing, audio, and effects.

In its blog post, the company said that Reels invited its users to create fun videos and share it with their friends or supporters on the platform, adding that Reels would give its users “new ways” to express themselves, to discover more of what they loved on the platform, and to help those users who had an ambition of becoming a content creator take the center stage.
