Domestic flights to and from Negros Occidental will be suspended beginning August 4, 2020, according to CAAP in Bacolod City.
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) in Bacolod City on Monday said that domestic flights to and from Negros Occidental will be suspended beginning August 4, 2020.
This, as the Visayan Daily Star reported that the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines in Bacolod City released an advisory announcing the suspension of domestic flights in compliance with the MECQ guidelines that were implemented by the national government in Metro Manila.
In its advisory, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines in Bacolod City said that Manila – Bacolod – Manila flights of AirAsia and Cebu Pacific Air will be suspended from August 4 – 15 because of the restrictions brought by the modified enhanced community quarantine in Metro Manila.

The said advisory came after Transportation Assistant Secretary Goddes Hope O. Libiran said that domestic flights were not allowed in areas that were already placed under modified enhanced community quarantine.
As of 4:00 p.m. of August 3, 2020, the Department of Health reported 106,330 total COVID-19 cases wherein 38,405 active cases, 65,821 recoveries, and 2,104 fatalities were being reported.
