Cavite province was set to launch a free WiFi system which would be utilized for the educational needs of students amid the pandemic, according to Governor Jonvic Remulla.
On Tuesday, Remulla said in his Facebook post that he’s very happy to announce that Cavite province was about to embark in a “massive rollout” of free WiFi system that should cover up to 90% of the residential areas in the province.
Remulla also said that the #CaviteFreeWiFi system should be “purely utilized” for the educational requirements of public school students during the ongoing quarantine period which they could access the wireless internet connection using their ID number.

In addition, Remulla said that the province was already set to sign a contract with a telecommunications company in two weeks. He also said that the free WiFi can also be utilized as a “tool” for research, online retail, knowledge generation, and connectivity once the pandemic was already over.
Moreover, Remulla said that their hope was that the network became a “beacon for empowerment” one day so that innovation and collaboration could light up their beloved province.
