The Department of Health (DOH) reported new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the Philippines as of today, July 18, 2020.
According to DOH’s COVID-19 Case Bulletin #126 dated July 18, 2020, the Department of Health reported 2,357 new coronavirus cases. This brought the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease to 65,304.
However, the Department of Health didn’t report the fresh and late cases, instead, the DOH reported that the newly-confirmed cases on Saturday were reported based on the total tests done by 76 out of 84 current operational laboratories.
Aside from the number of confirmed cases, the Department of Health also reported 321 new recoveries and 113 additional fatalities. This brought the total number of recoveries to 22,067 and total coronavirus deaths to 1,773.

Moreover, the Department of Health reported 41,464 total active cases as stated in its COVID-19 Case Bulletin #126 dated July 18, 2020.
The Department of Health identified the top five areas with the highest number of coronavirus cases as of July 18 only: Metro Manila with 1,824 new cases, Laguna with 105 new cases, Cavite with 62 new cases, Cebu with 49 new cases, and Rizal with 39 new cases.
