The Department of Health (DOH) gave an update on the total number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines as of today, July 25, 2020.
According to DOH’s COVID-19 Case Bulletin #133 dated July 25, 2020, the Department of Health reported 2,019 new coronavirus cases. This brought the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease to 78,412.
However, the Department of Health didn’t report the fresh and late cases, instead, the DOH reported that the newly-confirmed cases on Saturday were reported based on the total tests done by 78 out of 90 current operational laboratories.

Aside from the number of confirmed cases, the Department of Health also reported 1,278 new recoveries and 20 additional fatalities. This brought the total number of recoveries to 25,752 and total coronavirus deaths to 1,897.
Moreover, the Department of Health reported 50,763 total active cases as stated in its COVID-19 Case Bulletin #133 dated July 25, 2020.
The Department of Health identified the top five areas with the highest number of new coronavirus cases as of July 25 only: Metro Manila with 1,115 new cases, Cebu with 479 new cases, Cavite with 90 new cases, Rizal with 52 new cases, and Davao del Sur with 41 new cases.
