Two more members of the campaign staff of United States President Donald Trump on Monday had tested positive for coronavirus disease, according to the campaign.
This, as campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh said that these two staffers, members of Trump’s advance team who helped organized his weekend election rally in Tulsa in Oklahoma, attended the said rally yet they’re “wearing masks” during the entire event.
Murtaugh also said that the campaign immediately activated its contact tracing protocols and established quarantine.

Several hours before Trump’s rally last Saturday, the campaign said that six members of Trump’s advance team in Tulsa in Oklahoma had tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Previously, US President Donald Trump urged health officials in his administration to slow down COVID-19 testing in the United States, arguing that increasing COVID-19 tests would lead to increasing COVID-19 cases being discovered in the country.
Although it wasn’t clear from his tone if he’s “playing” to the audience just because they cheered as he spoke to them, or if he was serious about it.
An official from the White House, however, told AFP News that Donald Trump was clearly speaking “in jest to call out the media’s absurd coverage” as the United States was leading the world in terms of COVID-19 testing.
