Sony will have its PlayStation 5 launch event on June 4, 2020.
Sony officially confirmed that the company was about to have its upcoming launch event leading to the official launch of Sony PlayStation 5 on June 4, 2020.
This, as Sony posted a photo wherein Sony officially announced that the company will have its launch event which was scheduled on June 4 at 1:00 p.m. PDT (4:00 a.m. in the Philippines) via its website. Sony also revealed that the said event would give a look at the games that the public will be playing after the launch.
In a report on Gizmochina, the company wasn’t expected to reveal much information about PS5, yet Sony was expected to have various events that would lead to the official launch of PlayStation 5.
According to the President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment Jim Ryan, the games that will be coming to PlayStation 5 would represent the “best in the industry” from innovative studios that would span the world as studios — both smaller and larger, as well as new and more established — have been hard at work in developing games that would “showcase the potential” of the PlayStation 5.
Ryan also said that the digital showcase would run virtually for over an hour.
Last January 2020, Sony launched the official logo of the PS5 during the CES 2020 press conference, although the only difference between this logo from previous PlayStation consoles was “the number”.
