Quezon City Government Reported A Total Of 2,236 Coronavirus Cases
The city government of Quezon on Tuesday reported a total of 2,236 confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The numbers were based on information from the Department of Health (DOH).
Among the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases, 2,099 were from the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases that have complete addresses in Quezon City and the remaining 1,949 were from the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases that were already validated by the Quezon City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit and District Health Offices.
In a report on GMA News Online, there were 816 active cases in Quezon City.
As of 7:00 p.m. of June 2, the city government of Quezon reported 51 new recoveries and one new fatality. This brought the total number of recoveries to 951 and the total number of fatalities to 182.
Meanwhile, the Department of Health reported 359 new COVID-19 cases, wherein 176 were classified as “fresh” cases and the remaining 183 were classified as “late” cases. This brought the total number of confirmed cases in the Philippines to 18,997 as of 4:00 p.m. of June 2, 2020.
Aside from the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Philippines, the Department of Health also reported 84 additional recoveries and six new fatalities due to coronavirus disease, bringing the total number of recoveries to 4,063 and total fatalities to 966.
