Public Viewing For George Floyd In Houston Already Started

The public viewing for George Floyd in Houston, Texas, had already started.

The public viewing for George Floyd on Monday (US time) had already started at the Fountain of Praise Church in Houston, Texas.

This, as George Floyd’s family released a statement about the updated details regarding the memorial and public viewing, saying that it took place from 1:00 in the afternoon until 7:00 in the evening. (1:00 a.m. – 7:00 a.m. Philippine time), while the private funeral was scheduled for Tuesday, June 9 (US time).

Temperature checks were being conducted on those people who attended the public viewing of George Floyd.

In order to keep with Ben Crump and George Floyd’s family’s request that attendees would follow social distancing measures, people inside and outside the church were already wearing their face masks.

After checking their temperatures at the entrance, people inside the Fountain of Praise Church in Houston were lined up in two separate lines at a social distance.

They were also allowed to see the body of George Floyd for about five (5) seconds before being directed to move forward.

Moreover, George’s family also said in a statement that the memorial service on Tuesday was limited to 500 people including his family and friends, as such, the family requested the public to “pay their respects at the public viewing”.
