The victim’s lawyer gave an update about the condition of an old man in the Buffalo incident wherein the victim was shoved to the ground by police officers.
This, as Kelly V. Zarcone, Esq., the lawyer of an old man who was being shoved to the ground by two officers in Buffalo, released a statement regarding the update about the victim, who was identified as Martin Gugino.
In a statement obtained by Heavy, Kelly V. Zarcone, Esq. said that his client, Martin Gugino, was in “serious but stable”, adding that he was “alert and oriented”. Zarcone also said that Gugino requested privacy for himself and his family as he recovered from hid head injury.
Moreover, Zarcone said that Gugino requested that any further protests would “continue to be peaceful”.
The statement of Gugino’s lawyer came after Mayor Byron Brown released his statement on his tweet saying that Martin was in “stable but serious” condition at the Educational Credit Management Corporation or ECMC. Also, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo previously tweeted that two police officers who were involved in the Buffalo incident “should be immediately suspended pending a formal investigation”.
Meanwhile, 57 members of the Buffalo Police Department’s Emergency Response Team reportedly resigned from the unit after two of them had been “suspended without pay“.
Recently, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo tweeted that the government would “put a stop to this kind of abuse” after watching the video of an incident in Buffalo.
What happened in Buffalo offends our sense of decency & humanity. It’s frightening.

Let’s focus on the facts. What we saw on that video is abuse and we must put a stop to this kind of abuse. Enough is enough.
In this moment change is possible. New York will be at the forefront.
