The Department of Health (DOH) on Thursday reported 778 new cases of coronavirus disease in the Philippines.
This, as the Department of Health reported 415 “fresh” cases and 363 were classified as “late” cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease to 33,069 as of 4:00 p.m. of June 25, 2020.

For “fresh” cases, 250 COVID-19 patients were from Metro Manila, 72 were from Central Visayas, and the remaining 93 came from different areas in the Philippines. And for the “late” cases, on the other hand, 202 COVID-19 patients were from Metro Manila, 34 were from Central Visayas, and the remaining 127 were from different areas in the Philippines.
According to the Department of Health, the fresh cases recorded on Thursday were based on its test results released to patients within the last three days, while the late cases recorded were based on the test results released to patients four days ago or more.
Aside from the number of confirmed cases, the Department of Health also reported 255 additional recoveries and eight new fatalities due to COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 8,910 and total fatalities to 1,212.
