New York Knicks Legend Patrick Ewing Had Tested Positive For COVID-19
New York Knicks legend Patrick Ewing on Friday (Saturday in the Philippines) said that he had tested positive for COVID-19.
This, as Georgetown Athletics released a statement regarding Patrick Ewing’s condition, confirming that he had tested positive for COVID-19.
Ewing, a 57-year-old head coach of men’s basketball team in Georgetown University, said in a statement that the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) was “serious and should not be taken lightly”, adding that he urged the public to stay safe and to take care of themselves and their loved ones as well.
He also thanked the healthcare workers and people on the front lines, assuring the public that he will be fine and “will all get through this”.
In a statement, Georgetown Athletics said that Ewing was “under care and isolated” at a local hospital in the United States, adding that he was the only member of men’s basketball team of Georgetown University to have tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19.
