Global Launch Event | Xiaomi Launches New Mi Note, Redmi Note Phones

Xiaomi officially unveiled its latest smartphones during the Redmi Note 9 Series Online Global Launch Event.

Xiaomi on Thursday evening officially launched its latest smartphones during the Redmi Note 9 Series Online Global Launch Event.

This, as the new Redmi Note 9 series as well as the “new member” of the Mi Note 10 series were introduced during the said event.

Redmi Note 9S

Last March 2020, Xiaomi introduced Redmi Note 9S to the global market. On April 6, Xiaomi Malaysia offered the Redmi Note 9S MFF 2020 version in conjunction with Xiaomi’s upcoming Mi Fan Festival (MFF) 2020.

During the launch event last Thursday evening, Xiaomi introduced this exclusive version to the global market, with only 2,020 units to be released for sale.

And just today, Xiaomi Philippines will launch the Redmi Note 9S on May 4, 2020. Here’s an announcement below!

Redmi Note 9 Pro

Xiaomi launched the global version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro, which was first appeared in India last March 2020. Let’s compare these two versions below!

In terms of the color variants, both have Glacier White and Interstellar Gray color options. However, the global version has Tropical Green color option, while the India version has Aurora Blue color option.

Based on its rear camera specs, both versions have 8MP ultra wide-angle camera, 5MP macro camera, and 2MP depth sensor. However, the India version has a 48MP main camera, while the global version has 64MP main camera.

In terms of its similarities, both versions have an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor, an Adreno A618 graphics processor, and a battery capacity of 5020 mAh.

Redmi Note 9

Xiaomi introduced a fresher look as the smartphone company revealed Redmi Note 9 globally — with new processor, new color options, and an external look that was different from Redmi Note 9S and Redmi Note 9 Pro.

In terms of color, this smartphone has three new color options — Forest Green, Midnight Grey, and Polar White. It also has an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 processor, an ARM G52 MC2 graphics processor, and a battery capacity of 5020 mAh.

Mi Note 10 Lite

Aside from the Redmi Note 9 series smartphones, Xiaomi also launched a “new member” of the Mi Note 10 series — the Mi Note 10 Lite.

This, after Xiaomi previously launched the Mi Note 10 and the Mi Note 10 Pro with 108MP Samsung HMX main sensor on a penta-camera setup.

The Mi Note 10 Lite comes with a 64MP Sony IMX686 main camera on a quad-camera setup, an octa-core Qualcomm Kryo 470 processor, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset, a Qualcomm Adreno 618 graphics processor, and a battery capacity of 5260 mAh. Also, it has three color options — Midnight Black, Glacier White, and the new Nebula Purple.
