LCS Common Tower, the first independent common tower in the Philippines, concluded its construction.
The first independent common tower in the Philippines, which was located at Caoayan in Ilocos Sur, recently finished its construction.
This, as the LCS Common Tower was made possible by the Department of Information and Communications Technology, in partnership with LCS Holdings Inc., through Ua Withya Public Co.
Luis Chavit Singson, a politician and an entrepreneur who controlled the LCS Holdings Inc., posted a video on Facebook on how LCS Common Tower started its construction as well as the completed look of the tower. The first independent common tower in the Philippines was bearing the Site ID PH0100008 and could be found in these specific coordinates: 17º32’56” N, 120º22’56” E.
Finished last April 28 and announced last Monday, this would mark the country’s move in expanding facilities in preparation for 5G connectivity. LCS Holdings Inc. had identified 6,000 possible sites and was aiming to build 70,000 towers in the next 10 years.
As per the report last October 2019, LCS Holdings Inc. previously announced that DITO Telecommunity would be the company’s launch customer, adding that the infrastructure of LCS Holdings Inc. would be beneficial for a successful rollout as DITO Telecommunity had committed to cover at least 37% of the total population by July 8, 2020.
