Comedians Boobay And Tekla Sought The Importance Of Saving Money Amid ECQ
Comedians Boobay and Tekla shared their experiences as they sought the importance of saving money amid the enhanced community quarantine.
This, as President Rodrigo Duterte issued Executive Order No. 112 dated May 1, 2020, which approved the extension of enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Metro Manila and other high-risk areas as well as the implementation of the general community quarantine (GCQ) in some parts of the Philippines.
The implementation of quarantine measures in the Philippines could help prevent the further spread of coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19.
In a report from GMA Network’s news program 24 Oras, Boobay said that it’s important to save money while the enhanced community quarantine was still in effect.
Tekla, on the other hand, said that he realized that it was worth saving in these trying times, adding that he’s blaming himself for spending much without thinking about things. But before he said that, Tekla jokingly stated that it’s satisfying to pair the dish with rice.
Meanwhile, Boobay shared tips to the public on how to be safe as they wanted to go outside their houses, saying that they should wear masks, and warned them not to use it repetitively.
The Department of Health reported 339 new cases of COVID-19, 112 new recoveries, and 27 new coronavirus deaths as of 4:00 p.m. of May 7, 2020, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 10,343, with 1,618 total recoveries and 685 total fatalities.
