The whole area of Sitio Zapatera in Barangay Luz in Cebu City has been contaminated with COVID-19, according to a city health officer.

A city health officer in Cebu said that the whole area of Sitio Zapatera in Barangay Luz has been contaminated with the coronavirus disease.

This, as Daisy Villa, the city health officer in Cebu, said that the city health department will stop the massive swab testing in the said sitio in Barangay Luz, adding that this was the Department of Health’s recommendation considering that the whole area was already considered as an “infected” sitio in the city.

As of April 16, 2020, the said sitio has recorded a total of fifty-three (53) confirmed COVID-19 cases, where fifty-one (51) of these cases were asymptomatic.
