Samsung Closes Factory In US After Having 2 COVID-19 Cases

Samsung closed its home appliance factory in the US after two employees had tested positive for COVID-19.

Samsung Electronics on Friday said that the company closed its home appliance factory in the United States (US).

This, as Reuters reported that two (2) of its employees in the United States had tested positive for COVID-19 or coronavirus disease, adding that Samsung was being “thoroughly cleaned and sanitized” and will continue its operation at the home appliance factory on Monday, April 6, 2020.

The United States, as of this writing, recorded a total of over 245,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with 6,075 fatalities and 10,403 recoveries.

Globally, more than 1 million patients were already infected with the coronavirus disease as of this writing, where 53,202 of them died while 212,991 of them were already recovered.
