Filipino Nurse in UAE Dies of COVID-19 Infection
FILIPINO NURSE IN UAE – Marlon Jimenea, a Filipino nurse in the United Arab Emirates, got infected with COVID-19 and died of the disease.
Nurses are among the frontliners in the fight against coronavirus or COVID-19. This disease claimed over 200,000 lives worldwide including the lives of some frontliners.
After declaring coronavirus as pandemic, the World Health Organization (WHO) said that it is going to be a long-term battle against the disease. More than 200 countries across the globe now are fighting against its spread.
The global tallies show that more than three (3) million people were infected by the disease. The United States is the country with the most number of COVID-19 cases.
Sadly, several medical personnel died of coronavirus. One of them is Marlon Jimenea, a Filipino nurse in UAE.
Based on a report of RMN Iloilo, Central Echo confirmed that Jimenea, a graduate of the Central Philippine University, passed away in UAE after contracting coronavirus.
The Filipino nurse in UAE was infected by COVID-19 while fulfilling his duty as a medical frontliner. Based on the report, he was working at the University Hospital Sharjah.
Jimenea is one of the many Filipino doctors and nurses who died of COVID-19, the real-life heroes. In PH, at least 12 medical professionals died of the disease while more than 1,000 healthcare frontliners were infected by the disease.
