DOH Considers Area in Cebu City Barangay Infected w/ COVID-19

AREA IN CEBU CITY BARANGAY – The Department of Health (DOH) considers an area in a barangay in Cebu City as COVID-19 infected.

The province of Cebu is one of the provinces in the Philippines affected by coronavirus or COVID-19. The said disease is the common enemy of several nations across the globe now.

Worldwide, over two (2) million cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the different countries. A total of 5,660 of these cases were recorded in the Philippines.

Currently, the entire Luzon in PH and several provinces in Visayas and Mindanao are implementing an enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) amid the outbreak of the pandemic in the country.

Mass testings are also held in several provinces in the Philippines. However, a mass testing in a part of Cebu City in the province of Cebu is set to be stopped.

Based on a report of Cebu Daily News, the DOH in Cebu will stop the mass testing in Sitio Zapatera, Barangay Luz in Cebu City as the health department considers the entire area infected with COVID-19.

Currently, there are still no further information regarding the matter. PH continues to fight against COVID-19 by implementing protocols.

The people are advised to stay at home and to observe social distancing when they are out in the public for very necessary purposes like the purchase of food.

Also, most cities and municipalities are implementing coding in allowing the people to go outdoors for their necessities. The movement of the people has to be limited to curb the spread of the infection.
