Resident of Pasig Positive for Coronavirus – Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto
PASIG MAYOR VICO SOTTO – The Mayor of Pasig posted on social media that a resident of the city is positive for the new coronavirus.
Several coronavirus cases were recently recorded in the Philippines. The total confirmed cases of the disease now is ten (10) – including an American and a Taiwanese.
The Department of Health (DOH) assured that all patients are treated in hospitals that have the capacity to handle coronavirus cases. Local transmission in the country was already confirmed.
Recently, several local government units have confirmed cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus. Quezon City has one (1) confirmed case according to Mayor Joy Belmonte.
Recently, Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto, in line with the announcement of the DOH, confirmed on social media that a resident of the city is positive for coronavirus.
Based on his post, the said coronavirus patient is admitted in a hospital outside Pasig. In Medical City Pasig, there is a coronavirus patient admitted in the hospital now but the area where the patient is a resident of was not disclosed.
Meanwhile, the Pasig local government assured that it is coordinating with the DOH. More updates may be posted soon.
