Lewis Hamilton, F1 Champion, ‘Self-isolating’ But ‘Will Not Get Tested’

Lewis Hamilton said that he was self-isolating but will not get tested for COVID-19.

Lewis Hamilton, a six-time Formula One (F1) champion said that he was self-isolating but will not get tested for COVID-19 or coronavirus disease.

This, as Lewis Hamilton’s reason for his self-isolation was because he had been at the same function in London that actor Idris Elba and Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau’s wife Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau, who were subsequently tested positive for coronavirus disease or COVID-19, attended earlier this month.

Hamilton, in his statement, said that he was doing well, adding that he has “zero symptoms and it has now been 17 days since I saw Sophie and Idris.” He added that he did speak to his doctor and doubled checked if he needed to take a test, yet he revealed that there was a limited amount of tests available and there were people who need it more than he did, “especially when I wasn’t showing any symptoms at all.”

Lewis Hamilton has been in isolation since last Friday.
