Update on DOH’s Record of COVID-19 Cases in the Philippines
DOH – The Department of Health recorded 77 new cases of COVID-19 or 2019 novel coronavirus in the Philippines.
The Philippines is one of the nations hit by the COVID-19, a pandemic disease as declared by the World Health Organization (WHO). It has left several nations racing against time to curb the spread of the infection.
Over 70,000 people were infected in China, more than 600 deaths were recorded in Italy, and countries are struggling to procure testing kits – all because of the rampant COVID-19 infection which spreads as fast as the blink of an eye.
In the Philippines, an update recently crossed the surface. Based on a post of The Philippine Star, DOH confirmed 77 new cases of COVID-19 in the country.
The recent addition brings the total confirmed coronavirus cases in the Philippines to 307. Based on the post, the health department also reported one (1) additional death bringing the death toll to nineteen (19).
On the positive side, another five (5) coronavirus patients have recovered from the disease according to the health department. There is now a total of thirteen (13) recoveries.
