The COVID-19 test result of DILG Secretary Eduardo Año was released.
DILG Secretary Eduardo Año on Tuesday made an announcement by releasing his statement as he received his COVID-19 test result — and the result was “positive”.
This, as the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo Año himself, in his statement, confirmed that he had tested positive for COVID-19 or coronavirus disease.
In a report from CNN Philippines, Año underwent his COVID-19 test last March 27 and the result was released after four days.
Año, in a statement, advised people who had in close contact with him to proceed on a self-quarantine and observe any symptoms of coronavirus disease or COVID-19. He added that he wasn’t exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, adding that he will continue his duty from his home.
As of March 31, 2020, the Philippines recorded a total of 2,084 confirmed coronavirus cases, with 88 fatalities and 49 recoveries recorded.
