Authorities Reveal Coronavirus Patient in Canada Now in Critical Condition in ICU
CORONAVIRUS PATIENT IN CANADA – The 13th patient of coronavirus in British Columbia is now in a critical condition in Vancouver hospital.
Several countries across the globa now are on a fight against the 2019 novel coronavirus or officially called as COVID-19. The said disease first sprung in China.
In China, the said strain of coronavirus infected more than 70,000 people. At least 2,000 lives were taken by the said disease globally. Wuhan City which is the epicenter of the outbreak and where it was first recorded is now under a lock-down.
Iran, South Korea, and Italy are also on a tough fight against the novel coronavirus. The infection cases in the said countries are increasing daily.
British Columbia also got confirmed cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus. Recently, it recorded its 13th coronavirus patient.
Based on a report on Vancouver Island, the said coronavirus patient is in Canada, an 80-year-old woman. Unfortunately, according to British Columbia Health Minister Adrian Dix, the woman is now in critical condition.
The patient is admitted at Vancouver General Hospital. She is under isolation and is confined in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Based on the report, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry expressed that the patient is one of those in a travelling group. Prior to her detection, she went to Hong Kong and India.
Currently, the authorities are tracking the people who were also in the same tour with the 80-year-old woman. According to Dr. Henry, the risk in British Columbia “remains ‘very low'”.
