Health Ministry Reveals Mexico Confirms First Coronavirus Case
MEXICO CONFIRMS FIRST CORONAVIRUS CASE – The health ministry in Mexico confirmed that the 1st case of COVID-19 in the country was recently recorded.
Unfortunately, everyday, more and more countries are recording their first cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus. Officially called as the COVID-19, the said disease first sprung in China.
The COVID-19 hit Wuhan City in the province of Hubei late December 2019. There were already reports about the mysterious disease that infected a lot of people.
Starting January 2020, the world was shaken by the increasing cases of coronavirus in China and the recorded cases outside the country. Hong Kong, United States, South Korea, Philippines, and Japan are among those with confirmed cases.
Currently, South Korea, Italy, and Japan are on the watch due to the increasing cases of coronavirus in such nations. More than 1,000 people in South Korea are now infected by the disease.
In China, more than 70,000 were infected and at least 2,000 died of the disease. Its nature is yet to be fully-known and the experts are still studying about this new strain of coronavirus.
Recently, Mexico confirmed its first coronavirus case. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the health ministry of Mexico confirmed that a man in the capital tested positive for the disease.
According to Senior Ministry Hugo Lopez- Gatell, the patient has a “mild, mild illness” but he is in a stable condition. Based on the report, he is now isolated in the National Institute of Respiratory Diseases.
Lopez-Gatell also revealed that the five (5) family members of the coronavirus patient are also isolated now at the same facility. The man he had in contact with in Sinaloa is also monitored by the health authorities.
