DOH Confirms First Coronavirus Patient in PH Now Out From Hospital
FIRST CORONAVIRUS PATIENT IN PH – The Department of Health (DOH) confirmed that the 38-year-old Chinese woman was discharged from the hospital.
The Philippines is one of the countries that have been reached by the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in China. There are three (3) confirmed cases in the country.
The first confirmed case of coronavirus is a 38-year-old woman from Wuhan City, the epicenter of the disease. She came from Hong Kong and flew to Cebu.
It was last January 21, 2020 when the woman, together with a 44-year-old Chinese man, arrived in Cebu. They visited some areas in the province and head to Dumaguete City.
From Dumaguete, the couple flew to Manila. They were admitted at San Lazaro Hospital on January 25, 2020.
A few days later, the 44-year-old Chinese man died. He’s the first death case outside China.
Recently, an update about the first coronavirus patient in PH crossed the surface. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Department of Health (DOH) confirmed that she was already discharged from the hospital.
According to Health Undersecretary Eric Domingo, the woman has been released from the hospital after she tested negative twice. With regards to the whereabouts of the 38-year-old Chinese now, the DOH got no information.
The DOH previously confirmed that the remains of the 44-year-old Chinese man have already been laid to rest. The health department treated the details confidential in respect to the deceased.
The 3rd patient of nCoV in PH has already flown back to China. Initially, there were conflicting results and the patient’s condition got better so the 60-year-old was released from the hospital.
