British superstar Elton John cuts short his Auckland gig due to this.
British superstar Elton John apologized to his fans after cutting short his Auckland concert in New Zealand due to his illness.
This, as British superstar Elton John revealed that he was suffering from “walking pneumonia”.
John, who was in the middle of his world tour, suffered to sing while seated at a grand piano during his performance at Mount Smart Stadium on Sunday night. After being checked by a medic, he fought on through two more songs before he stopped.
Elton told concert-goers that he has “just completely lost my voice” in the middle of his concert. His illness came as health authorities were on high alert for signs of the 2019 novel coronavirus, now COVID-19.
In his tweet, he admitted that he was diagnosed with “walking pneumonia”, yet he was “determined to give you the best show humanly possible.”
I want to thank everyone who attended the #EltonFarewellTour gig in Auckland tonight.
