Monty Python star Terry Jones has died Tuesday after his long battle with a rare form of dementia. He was 77 years old.
In a statement, Terry Jones’ family confirmed the passing of their “kind, funny, warm, creative and truly loving man” with an “uncompromising individuality, relentless intellect and extraordinary humour.” In addition, his family said that Terry Jones died late on Tuesday at his home in north London.
The death of Monty Python star Terry Jones sparked an outpouring of tributes on Wednesday (Thursday in the Philippines).
Terry Jones, as a director, directed some of Monty Python’s most loved works, including Life Of Brian. He also appeared as a variety of characters in Monty Python’s Flying Circus.
To date, Terry Jones was the second Python to pass away after Chapman who died in 1989 due to cancer.
