Authorities Confirm 1st Coronavirus Case in India
1ST CORONAVIRUS CASE IN INDIA – The authorities confirmed the first case of the 2019 novel coronavirus in India.
The 2019 novel coronavirus became an international concern after several countries confirmed cases. It was first recorded in Wuhan City in China which is a home to millions of people.
Reportedly, the 2019 novel coronavirus is characterized by fever, shortness of breath, and cough – symptoms that are similar to flu’s. There are speculations that the disease came from the market in Wuhan, specifically the bat soup served as food.
There are still no confirmation as to the root of the 2019 novel coronavirus. However, the outbreak of the disease is really alarming.
Several countries including the United States, Japan, France, and Nepal got confirmed cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus. The Philippines also recently confirmed that a 38-year-old woman from Wuhan tested positive for the said disease.
Recently, the authorities also confirmed the 1st coronavirus case in India. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the case was recorded in Kerala and the patient is a student from Wuhan University.
In a statement, the Ministry stated that the patient is now isolated in a hospital in Kerala and is in a stable condition. The student is under close monitoring.
