Political Writer William Greider Dies At 83

William Greider, a political writer for The Nation, Rolling Stone, and The Washington Post, died last Wednesday, December 25. He was 83 years old.

According to Katrina vandenHeuvel, the Nation’s Editorial Director, tweeted that political writer William Greider understood “all too rare” in the world of media, wherein the process required “real respect for the people”, “deep reporting”, “historical insight”, and “patience” in order to have a “reimagining democracy”.

William Greider was a former reporter and editor at The Washington Post, a former columnist at Rolling Stone for 17 years, and a political writer of The Nation in 1999. Cameron, the son of William Greider, told The New York Times that William died at his home in Washington due to his complications of congestive heart failure.
