Judy Ann Santos admitted that they’re not having an acting showdown with Iza Calzado as their entries were both qualified for this year’s MMFF.
According to Judy Ann, all actors gave their efforts in making their entries as beautiful as possible. She added that actors don’t need to pinpoint someone as the best actor or best actress at the festival.
This “acting showdown” happened after netizens chose Iza at Judy Ann as their bet for the Best Actress award. Iza starred in Culion, while Judy Ann starred in Mindanao.
According to Iza Calzado, she was thankful that she was matched with Judy Ann in terms of her acting skills, and she considered the match as “Christmas” for her.
Both Culion and Mindanao, official film entries in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival, were currently available in cinemas nationwide
