This, as the United States Pacific Fleet posted a tweet, saying that the US warship, which was a guided-missile destroyer, already “transits the Taiwan Strait”.

According to the defence ministry in Taiwan, the US warship was on its “routine mission” through Taiwan’s waterway that was separating the country from China.
The arrival of the US warship in Taiwan came after having political tensions between China and the United States and after China buzzed the self-ruling country with ships and jets amid COVID-19 pandemic.
