Harry Roque will focus on being a spokesperson before deciding on his 2022 plans
On Wednesday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said that he will focus on being a Malacañang spokesperson before deciding if he should run in the 2022 elections.
Roque said in his regular press briefing that he’s thankful for PDP-Laban for its confidence in him but said that he would rather focus first on the matter at hand.
According to him, he’s busy attending all symbolic vaccinations in order to help boost COVID-19 vaccine confidence in the country.

Roque said that he will start thinking about his 2022 plans once the Philippines achieved population protection or had completed vaccinating members of the population who were susceptible to COVID-19 and were likely to show severe coronavirus symptoms.
Roque’s statement came after a supposed initial list of President Rodrigo Duterte’s choices for his senatorial lineup included his name.
Roque was named spokesperson of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases aside from being the Presidential spokesperson.
