Former action movie star King Gutierrez is living this life now
Former actor King Gutierrez, who was known for his “kontrabida” roles during the 1990s is now a “bida” in his community.
King was one of those actors during the era of action movies in the entertainment industry who was known for his effective portrayal of villain roles. His facial expression and how he delivered his lines brought fear to action movie fans.
The former actor was known for his appearances in several movies such as Ben Delubyo (1998), APO: Kingpin ng Maynila (1990) and Lucas Abelardo (1994).
It might not be known to many but King joined the Philippine Army Reserve Command in 1999 as Master Sergeant. After his showbiz stints, he became active in public service. Based on the official website of Bacoor City, Cavite, the former actor is now serving his constituents as Councilor.
Prior to that, in 2003, he worked at the Senate of the Philippines particularly under the Department of Political Affairs. King was assigned to be the Deputy Agent of the Videogram Regulatory Board.
In 2013, he decided to file his candidacy for the position of City Councilor of District 2, City of Bacoor, and Province of Cavite. To years after he started his political career, the former actor was awarded as “Pinakamahusay na Konsehal sa Lungsod ng Calabarzon” by the Gawad Sulo ng Bayan.
He continued his political career and was re-elected for his second term in 2016. From his “kontrabida” roles in action movie films during the 90s, King Gutierrez found a way to be a “bida” to his constituents in Bacoor City.
