Barbie Imperial: “I also tested positive for COVID pero I chose not to post it na lang.”
Here’s the reason why Kapamilya actress Barbie Imperial decided not to tell the public that she had tested positive for COVID-19.
As part of ABS-CBN’s family drama series “Bagong Umaga”, Barbie revealed during the show’s finale press conference that she’s one of the cast members who had tested positive for COVID-19. Barbie also explained why she never posted about it while recuperating at her home.
According to her, she had tested positive for COVID-19 but she chose not to post it. Barbie also shared that she posted throwback photos or videos on her Instagram feed and story instead of posting about her health.
“Wala naman akong balak kasi parang ako, every time I post on my Instagram hindi siya real time. After ng lock in, umuwi na lang ako. Pinili ko na lang na huwag na lang mag-post since wala naman akong naka-contact na ibang tao. Pamilya ko lang,” Barbie said.

After her experience, the actress shared that she had a greater appreciation for spending her time bonding with her family at home. Barbie then shared that it seemed she realized how important time was.
The actress also said that she had no regrets because she’s thankful for the opportunity to work even during the coronavirus pandemic.
