Cong. Sandro Marcos Issues Statement Following Zaldy Co’s Claims against him
SANDRO MARCOS – The Ilocos Norte Congressman issued a statement after Zaldy Co revealed his alleged budget insertions that’s over P50 billion in just three (3) years.
Resigned Ako Bicol Partylist Representative Zaldy Co previously claimed that Pres. Bongbong Marcos and former Speaker Martin Romualdez allegedly ordered a P100-billion insertion in the 2025 national funds. He also claimed that the President and the former House Speaker supposedly got P56 billion kickbacks apart from their other supposed budget insertions.
After dragging the President into the corruption issue in the Philippine government, Zaldy Co recently made claims against presidential son and Ilocos Norte Cong. Sandro Marcos over alleged budget insertions. According to him, the budget insertions of the younger Marcos is allegedly over P50 billion in just three (3) years.
Co also claimed that the supposed budget insertions of Cong. Marcos is on an increasing trend. Based on his post, most of the projects that the younger Marcos sought budget appropriations for were flood control structures in Ilocos Norte. It earned different reactions from the netizens.
Presidential son and Ilocos Norte Cong. Sandro Marcos immediately released a statement after Zaldy Co exposed his alleged budget insertions. In his statement, the House Majority Floor Leader stressed that anyone can sit in front of the camera and express lies.
The younger Marcos reminded the public that the remarks were allegedly from “a person with no credibility whose vested interests are to release these videos to destabilize the government”. According to him, it came from someone who the Filipinos allegedly know to be the “architect” of the flood control mess but claims that he did not get anything.
Cong. Sandro Marcos further stressed in his statement that Zaldy Co allegedly wants to ignite political chaos so he can escape from the legal accusations against him. According to the presidential son, he allegedly got an information from the intel that Co allegedly has a deal with those who will benefit from a change in the administration, thus, he supposedly wants to bring the current government down.
“Gusto niyang pabagsakin ang kasalukuyang administrasyon para ma-abswelto siya sa kanyang mga krimen. In fact, the intel suggests he already struck a deal with those who stand to benefit from such a change,” he wrote.
In his statement, Cong. Sandro Marcos called on his fellow Filipinos not to be fooled by Zaldy Co. He stressed that Co is not a journalist or truth crusader but allegedly a criminal who is trying to evade justice.
Recently, Pres. Bongbong Marcos told Zaldy Co to return to the Philippines and face the allegations against him.
