Harry Roque Calls on Filipinos To Pray for Him: “I need your prayers”

Pasig Court Orders Passport of Harry Roque Cancelled

Harry Roque, the former spokesman of ex-President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, called on the Filipinos to pray for him after a Pasig court ordered the cancellation of his Philippine passport.

Like his former boss, Roque is currently in The Hague, Netherlands now. He joined the Duterte supporters in the call for the release and return of former Pres. Duterte to the Philippines. The former Chief Executive is faced with three (3) counts of murder as alleged “crimes against humanity” filed against him by the International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutors.

Harry Roque was in hiding for several months prior to the arrest and the transfer of the custody of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte to the ICC in The Hague. It was last March 11 when the Philippine authorities who assisted the Interpol arrested the former Chief Executive. Following the transfer of his custody, Roque was spotted in public talking to Vice Pres. Sara Duterte after several months of hiding.

The House of Representatives investigates the alleged involvement of Roque to the illegal operations of some Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators or POGOs in the country. The chamber cited him in contempt and ordered his arrest but he went into hiding.

In The Netherlands, Roque applied for an asylum. According to him, it was the advice of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte to him. He is not part of the ICC legal team of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte as the Vice President wants the lawyers of his father to be really focusing to his case. She believes that Roque should focus in his asylum bid.

Harry Roque was confident as he cannot be allegedly deported while he is an asylum seeker in The Netherlands. According to him, there is no need for him to hide and the process may take up to one year and a half. However, recently, a court in Pasig ordered the cancellation of his passport.

Amid the court order for the cancellation of his Philippine passport, Harry Roque is asking the Filipinos to pray for him. Based on his post on social media, he stressed that he is a prayerful man and he won’t last long being away from the country if not because of his faith.

“I am a creature of prayer. Hindi naman po ‘ko tatagal na wala sa Pilipinas… kung hindi ako nananampalataya sa ating Panginoon. Pray for me,” he said.
