Amid the Corruption Issue, Marcos Jr. Breaks Silence on Zaldy Co’s Accusations
MARCOS JR. – The President told Zaldy Co to return to the Philippines and face the accusations against him as well as to stand by his claims without hiding.
Amid the calls for him to return to the Philippines and face the flood control corruption accusations against him, Zaldy Co resigned from being a member of the House of Representatives. He was the representative of Ako Bicol Partylist.

Controversial contractors Curlee and Sarah Discaya were the first ones to implicate Co in the flood control issue. His former aide, Orly Guteza, also made a claim during a Senate flood control hearing that he was allegedly part of the team that supposedly delivered suitcases filled with millions of money to then-Speaker Martin Romualdez and Co.

Recently, amid the calls for him to return to the country and face the allegations against him, Zaldy Co claimed that Marcos Jr. and Romualdez allegedly ordered a P100-billion budget insertion in the 2025 national funds. According to him, he was supposedly ordered not to return to the Philippines but he did not expect that he will allegedly be used as a “poster boy” in the administration’s campaign against corruption.
Malacañang called the accusations of Zaldy against Marcos Jr. as allegedly a web of lies. According to Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro, Co allegedly has no evidence and just reads the “script”.

Recently, Zaldy Co threw accusations against Marcos Jr. anew. He posted several photos of his alleged “deliveries” of cash kept in suitcases to the President and former Speaker Martin Romualdez. The Chief Executive himself broke his silence on the accusations of Co against him.
Based on a post of News5 on social media, Pres. Bongbong Marcos challenged Zaldy Co to return to the Philippines and face the accusations against him. According to the Chief Executive, the people will allegedly eventually know about it.
“For it to mean something, umuwi siya. Harapin niya ‘yung kaso niya. Kung mayroon siyang gustong sabihin, sabihin niya. Malalaman naman ng tao ‘yan. But, come home, come home. Bakit ka nagtatago sa malayo?” Marcos Jr. said.

Marcos Jr. stressed that he is not hiding, thus, he is calling for Zaldy Co to return to the country for fairness. Based on the post, an Interpol Blue Notice was released against the resigned Ako Bicol Partylist Representative.
“Ako, hindi ako nagtatago. Kung meron kang akusasyon sa akin, nandito ako… Para patas lang naman,” he expressed.
Recently, Pres. Bongbong Marcos warned those who will help the flood control accused with arrest warrants. One of those who were issued a warrant of arrest is Zaldy Co.
