Manny Pacquiao Breaks Silence on Government Corruption

Manny Pacquiao’s Bold Revelation: “Nag-pray ako na lalabas lahat ng baho ng magnanakaw”

MANNY PACQUIAO – After years of being dismissed and ridiculed for his warnings, Manny Pacquiao now feels vindicated as corruption scandals continue to unfold in the government.

Former senator and boxing legend Manny Pacquiao once again addressed corruption in the Philippine government, recalling that he had long warned the public about widespread anomalies even before recent scandals surfaced.

Pacquiao revealed that despite his previous efforts to expose corruption, few believed him at the time. Instead, he said he was bashed on social media for speaking out about the alleged irregularities and theft in several government agencies.

During the launch of his new business venture, Manny Pay, an online payment service app, Pacquiao was interviewed by BANDERA and selected members of the entertainment media. He was asked about the ongoing controversy surrounding the Department of Public Works and Highways’ (DPWH) flood control projects.

Several senators, congressmen, and government contractors have reportedly been linked to the alleged anomaly, which supposedly involved millions of pesos in public funds.

“Sinabi ko na naman yan noon. Noong araw ako nagsisigaw sa taong bayan. Sinasabi ko palagi na grabe ang korapsyon, times two, times three. May naniwala ba sa akin?” Pacquiao stated, expressing frustration over how his earlier warnings were ignored.

He went on to share how he handled the backlash. “Actually, na-bash pa nga ako nu’ng nag-comment ako na grabe ang korakpsyon. Wala akong nagawa. Ang ginawa ko, nag-pray ako sa Panginoon, na lalabas lahat ng katotohanan, lalabas lahat ng baho ng magnanakaw.”

According to Pacquiao, his prayers have since been answered as more corruption scandals continue to come to light. “Hayun, naglabasan nga ang lahat. Walang usok na…lahat yan, lahat tayo ay haharap sa government, sa taong bayan, at higit sa lahat haharap tayo sa Panginoon,” he added.

Pacquiao’s remarks come amid renewed calls for transparency and accountability in the government following the alleged DPWH anomalies. As a public servant and moral advocate, the boxing icon continues to emphasize faith and integrity, reminding everyone that justice will prevail—not only before the law but also before God.
