On his official Facebook page, Diaz reposted the false report, emphasizing that the claim had no basis and warning fans not to be misled by unverified content. The fabricated post, which originated from a Facebook page named “Showbizeness,” carried the headline, “QUEEN RETURNS? GMA, Nag-Alok ng 20–30 Million Contract Kay Angel Locsin.” It featured photos of Angel alongside text suggesting that the network wanted her to return as a Kapuso.
The post’s caption read: “QUEEN RETURNS? GMA, NAG-ALOK NG 20–30 MILLION CONTRACT KAY ANGEL LOCSIN. Matapos ang ilang taong pananahimik sa telebisyon, muling naging sentro ng usapan sa mundo ng showbiz si Angel Locsin dahil sa mga usap-usapang umano ay GMA Network ng ₱20 milyon hanggang ₱30 milyon para makumbinsi siyang bumalik bilang Kapuso.” It even speculated about possible primetime and future projects being lined up for the actress.
However, Ogie Diaz was quick to dismiss the circulating claim, making it clear that the report was fabricated. In his post, he wrote, “HALATANG FAKE NEWS! JUICE KO, BAKIT NAMAN 20–30 MILLION LANG ANG ALOK? MABABA YON FOR ANGEL LOCSIN.” His humorous yet pointed remark underscored his disbelief and frustration toward the spread of misinformation online.
