Pres. Bongbong Marcos Distributes Carabaos, Cash Aid to Aeta Communities in Pampanga
MARCOS JR. – The President led the aid distribution which include money and carabaos to the aeta communities in Porac, Pampanga.
The residents of the different areas in the Philippines are dealing with different situations and problems. Pres. Bongbong Marcos pledged to help the victims of the 6.9 magnitude earthquake that hit Cebu last September 30. Many families were displaced after they lost their homes to the quake and landslide.

Marcos Jr. pledged to give at least P225-million aid to the victims of the Cebu earthquake. The President visited Bogo and talked to the victims of the quake. The epicenter of the quake that brought massive damages to several infrastructures was located in Bogo.

Aside from the P225-million aid to the earthquake victims in Bogo, Pres. Bongbong Marcos also pledged to build a “tent city” that can temporarily house the quake victims who lost their homes to the calamity. Many families are still in evacuation centers.
Recently, Marcos Jr. also went to Porac, Pampanga wherein he led the distribution of the aid as part of the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s Pag-abot Program. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the aid distributed to the aetas include carabaos, farm, cash, and land titles.

The assistance were distributed to the aeta communities at the Katutubo Village in Barangay Planas in Porac, Pampanga. During the aid distribution, Marcos Jr. told the beneficiaries to no longer thank them citing that it is the government’s job to extend assistance to them.

Furthermore, Pres. Bongbong Marcos also told the beneficiaries that it is their money and the government is just returning it back to them. A total of 127 beneficiaries were given carabaos and farm while Php 10,000 cash aid were extended to each 1,200 others.
“Huwag na kayong mag-thank you dahil trabaho talaga namin ito. Pera ninyo ito, kaya binabalik lang namin sa inyo ito,” he said.
Based on the report, Marcos Jr. added that the DSWD will continue looking for ways to help the Filipino people. According to him, the government is ready to do everything to make the Filipinos’ lives more comfortable.
“Hindi po maliit na bagay ‘yung kaka-announce lang ni Congresswoman [Gloria Macapagal Arroyo] na ‘yung titulo ng lupa ay mabibigay na para hindi na po kayo nag-aalala,” the President said.

The Philippines is undeniably faced with several problems now including massive corruption problems. Amid the issues, during a podcast interview, Pres. Bongbong Marcos affirmed that he had no regrets in being president of the country.
