TV host Mariel Padilla reacted to the allegation against her that she remained silent over the ABS-CBN issue.

Mariel has been part of the Kapamilya network since 2005. However, in 2012 she had a short stint on TV5. In 2014, she returned to ABS-CBN until she took a break when she got pregnant with her second baby.

Amid the ABS-CBN franchise issue, many Kapamilya stars and employees have become vocal when it comes to expressing their support for their home network.

On the other hand, it appeared that Mariel Padilla is being criticized for her “pananahimik” amid the issue involving the TV giant. It is known to many that the TV host is the wife of action movie icon Robin Padilla, who is a known supporter of the present administatration.

Based on the article from PEP, a netizen slammed the wife of Robin for her alleged silence over the issue. The said netizen commented in a post of Robin and Mariel replied.

She stressed that if she was not present durign the rallies and noise barrage, it does not mean that she did not support her home network.

“Just because hindi ako nag rally at hindi ako nag-noise barrage, hindi nun ibig sabihin na nanahimik ako. False ka din,” the TV host added.

Before the pandemic and her maternity leave, Mariel Padilla is part of the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime.

Meanwhile, the wife of Robin Padilla also addressed the critics of the new Manila Bay. She criticized those who are complaining now but did not complain when the area was full with garbage.

“Ang hindi ko maintindihan is lagi natin hinahanap kung saan napunta yung tax na binabayad natin… ayan oh.. atleast yan nakikita natin diba. Tapos mag complain parin?” she said.
